The Honors College Minority Engagement Council (HoCoMEC) fosters an environment that promotes interconnectivity, cultivates greatness in academia, and generates a respectful community that opens dialogue for minority students within the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. HoCoMEC hosts fun activities throughout the year and enjoys partnering with other groups, like Honors Senate, the Black Student Union, and Active Minds, for engaging programming. HoCoMEC began in 2018. For news and pictures, follow HoCoMEC on Instagram! Email them at hocomec@go.olemiss.edu.
