Allison Lavender is originally from Columbus, MS and received her bachelor’s degree in music education from The University of Mississippi in 2007. Hotty Toddy! After graduation she moved to Tuscaloosa, AL where she taught String Orchestra in the city school system for over thirteen years. Fun Fact-Allison began playing violin at age 5. During her time as an Orchestra Director, she was responsible for teaching middle and high school students and taught 160 students daily.
In 2019 she received her Master of Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. In 2020, Allison, her husband Paul, and their three children moved back home to Mississippi. Allison joined the SMBHC team in January 2024 as the Assistant to the Dean for Student Engagement. Before joining the SMBHC, Allison served as an Academic Mentor with the Ole Miss Women’s Council for Philanthropy. Allison enjoys spending time with her family, attending Ole Miss sporting events, traveling, and playing violin at Christ Presbyterian where she is a member.
