Congratulations to Dean Sullivan-González, who was just named the Lafayette County Volunteer Firefighter of the Year, by the Oxford Exchange Club. DSG was noted for participating in fighting “a lot” of fires, as well as for his involvement in a fundraising effort that raised $45,000 for the Lafayette County Fire Department in the last year.

The National Collegiate Honors Council (NCHC) has selected recent SMBHC graduate Ryan Parsons as one of three 2011 NCHC Portz Scholars.
