Elizabeth Tolbert has been named Secretary for the SMBHC. Tolbert is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Industry. Scotty Polston joins the SMBHC team as Telecommunications Analyst II. He comes from the Computer & Information Science department, where he has been since 2008. Welcome, Ms. Tolbert and Mr. Polston!
The SMBHC Class of 2019 recently enjoyed this year’s Welcome Week, which offered over 300 sessions in a variety of fields, including belly-dancing, ultimate frisbee, Harry Potter, and cooking, and provided evening engagements featuring Artist in Residence Bruce Levingston and Chancellor Emeritus Robert Khayat. The SMBHC’s $258,000 proposal to the Hearin Foundation to create the Mississippi Water Security Institute (MS WSI) has been accepted and fully funded!
