SMBHC senior Vince Chamblee (economics, public policy leadership, accountancy) has been named a Finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship. Finalists will interview for the scholarship later this month. Good luck, Vince!
Dava Sobel, renowned author and recent writer-in-residence at the University of Chicago, spoke to Honors Students in the Ford Center on September 14. She addressed her book Galileo’s Daughter and discussed the world that Galileo discovered with his telescope in 1609. Click here for more pictures.
The SMBHC will host an open house between 10 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Oct 10. We encourage our alumni to stop by and tour the building, and visit with Dean Sullivan-González, Dr. Samonds, Dr. Young, and other staff members. We will serve refreshments and Honors Ambassadors will provide tours of the building.
The Honors College invites alumni to the first SMBHC grove tent on September 19, when our Rebels will play Southeastern Louisiana.
