Congratulations to our 2015 Barksdale Award Winners:  Joe Bell and Kate Lindsay!  Joe will be spending time with cowboys (California or Colorado) and gauchos (Uruguay), learning what happens to men and to myths when modernization infringes on the frontier.  Kate will travel to Washington, New York, and Los Angeles to explore ways that Deaf theatre (of/by/for the Deaf) pushes the notion of theatre itself, for both Deaf and hearing audiences, actors, crew, and playwrights.  Joe is a sophomore working toward a B.A. in international studies, Public Policy Leadership, and Spanish, with a minor in environmental studies.  Kate, a junior, is earning both a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts and a B.Accy.  Click here for more information about these two students’ plans.  Good luck to both as they pursue some dreams, courtesy of the Barksdale Award!
