The SMBHC welcomed its largest freshman class ever at our Freshman Retreat August 17–19. The class currently stands at 313 students, with 62% from Mississippi and the others hailing from 21 states and one foreign country. The average ACT of this group is 30.8 (over half a point higher than last year’s), and the average high school GPA is a 3.91.

Dr. Susan Reverby, Professor at Wellesley College and the author of our Retreat book, Examining Tuskegee, welcomed the Honors Class of 2015 to the University of Mississippi with her stirring analysis of medical experiments in Alabama and in Guatemala.
