Yesterday, students enrolled in Greg Brock’s honors course, “Fake News: How to Live with It, and Fight It,” welcomed Margaret Sullivan, media columnist for the The Washington Post and the former public editor (and first woman to hold that position!) of The New York Times, for a lively and enlightening discussion.

Professor Brock’s class is examining the clash between journalism and misinformation in an era of social media and entrenched political partisanship. His course surveys the origins of fake news and the spread and life span of such articles online.
