William Teer joined SMBHC team in July 2018 as Coordinator of Enrollment and Engagement. While his role focuses on the admissions and recruitment process of prospective students, William also oversees the SMBHC Peer Group Mentor program and teaches Honors 391/392 Conversation courses.
William earned his Master of Science in College Student Personnel at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Samford University. He developed a passion for educational equity while at Samford which eventually led to his acceptance as a Teach for America corps member in El Dorado, Arkansas. William is passionate about the journey to college and how that process can become more equitable for all students.
Hobbies include movies, live music, hiking with his rescue dog Gomez, and swapping recipes with Mrs. Penny Leeton.
