2018 MS Water Security Institute
The third and final Mississippi Water Security Institute just returned to Oxford after a week on the Mississippi Gulf Coast meeting with different stakeholders on issues of water security, use, and management.
Many thanks to gracious hosts from the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality, Unabridged Architects, the Wolf River Society, the GCRL Marine Education Center, the National Park Service, the office of the Mayor of Biloxi, Gulf Coast Business Council, and many others.
Thanks times a million to UM biology professor and MS WSI Director Cliff Ochs as well as our incomparable Senior Barksdale Fellow Ashleen Williams.
Seventeen honors students from UM, Jackson State, MSU, Mississippi Valley, and Southern are working on a collective white paper that will explore their perspectives on coastal water.
