Freshman Ventures Retreat and Winners
Twenty-six groups of honors freshmen convened at the Jackson Center on February 4 to share their videos of the interviews they conducted and the adventures they experienced while traveling coast to coast to answer the 2017 Freshman Ventures question: What does the majority owe the minority? Two groups won Best Presentation and next year will be traveling to a city of their choice to enjoy the sights and tickets to a show.
Traveling to Bismark, North Dakota, Matthew Saucier, Ethan Burroff, Gabi Wells, Laura Conwell, and Emily Cobb interviewed persons regarding the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Anna Stephens, Emily Haupt, and Alston Tyer traveled to Tucson, Arizona to inquire about the Tucson Border Patrol.
Congratulations to all of the honors freshmen who took advantage of this unique and eye-opening experience!
